2012 4th Annual GRACE RACE
Running the Race to Inspire
2012 4th Annual GRACE RACE RESULTS!
This year's GRACE RACE, Saturday, April 21st, helped benefit the flood relief Fields of Grace is able to give to those impacted by the devastating flooding in Schoharie. A portion of the proceeds went to help the residents of Schoharie County with recovery and rebuilding.
The event brought out many new faces as well as our veteran runners and walkers from past years. Participants ranged in age from 3 years old to 80. A huge thank you goes out to all those who participated in running or walking the course and to the volunteers. The volunteers who manned the water stations, called times along the course, helped set up and work the registration point at Twin Oaks, set up the BBQ and Awards areas on the Fields of Grace site, guided traffic, set up and worked at the finish line, and all who stayed to clean up were greatly appreciated and helped make the day run smoothly. A special thanks also to the "Crossroad Riders" chapter of CMA (Christian Motorcyclists of Am.) who provided all the equipment and volunteers to prepare the BBQ food and early morning coffee too!
Many more youth participated this year as each year Fields of Grace seeks to involve younger people in this healthy, outdoor event.
We are especially thankful to all of our sponsors this year who continue to encourage the growth in mind, body, and spirit, through fun outdoor activities for the youth and young adults of our area.
